Amrit Parhar

Amrit Parhar is a community organizer, educator, and former public servant with over a decade of experience advancing equity, youth leadership, and community-driven change. She currently works at AMAPCEO as an Education Officer.

Amrit previously served as Director of Programs at the Institute for Change Leaders, where she trained and mentored emerging leaders to tell their stories, build strategic campaigns, and drive meaningful change. Drawing on the organizing framework developed by Marshall Ganz, her work has supported thousands of organizers and community leaders across diverse communities including youth at the For Youth Initiative.

She began her career working alongside refugee and immigrant communities and has remained deeply committed to creating accessible pathways for young people and marginalized communities to lead. A daughter of immigrants and long-time Toronto resident, Amrit brings lived experience, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to supporting young people to thrive and lead in their communities.
