This session will explore steps to designing your own workshops as well as creative ways to involve & engage youth in summer camps, and school club activities. Participant will explore steps to design workshops, understand the role of a facilitator and creative ways to engage youth participants in various programs. We also have an inspiring guest speaker, Redge who will share tools and resources on how to engage youth using arts and dance in various environments.
Guest Speaker
"REDGE” Rachael Edge, has over 9 years experience in the non-profit sector. Many in the youth-led sector have known Redge because of her exceptional work as the initiative Lead of NGen Youth Centre in Hamilton. Through her Masters of Environmental Studies (MES) program at York University with a concentration in Youth-led Community organizing, she honed her knowledge and skills in strength-based approaches to youth-engagement Rachael is also well-known in the Toronto area as a Hip Hop head, Dancer, spoken word poet, and strong advocate for youth/social justice.
